Van specializes in first-party and third-party insurance defense issues.  Practice in insurance defense focuses on various property damage and bodily injury claims arising from construction defect litigation.

Van has litigated cases through trial.  In addition, she previously externed with the Court of Appeal, Fourth District, Division Three for the Honorable Justice Aronson.  Then during her first year as a practicing attorney, Van had the privilege of arguing before the Court of Appeal for a contested civil dispute.  In total she has successfully completed two appeals before the California Court of Appeal.
