Meet Our Attorneys

James E. "Duke" Bullard has represented insurance companies through all phases of litigation in both first- and third-party matters arising out of personal, professional and commercial lines. The vast majority of his cases have been in the areas of defective construction, construction injuries, products liability, landslide, subsidence and premises liability, both as a defense lawyer and as those areas relate to insurance coverage issues.
Jeremy E. Beal specializes in first-party and third-party insurance coverage matters, complex insurance litigation, and catastrophic injury and property damage litigation. Jeremy provides counsel to insurers nationwide. He is admitted in and actively litigates in state and federal courts in California, Nevada, Arizona and Texas. He has extensive experience representing general contractors and insurers of general contractors in all manner of litigation and insurance coverage related matters.
Jazmine Pelayo is part of Bullard, Brown & Beal’s coverage and litigation team, where her wide-ranging practice focuses on complex litigation including premises liability, products liability, construction, and business disputes. Jazmine represents a wide variety of clients at both the federal and state level. Her clients include Fortune 500 companies, developers, general contractors, design professionals, restaurants, manufacturers, and distributors.
Mike Lind has over 25 years of legal experience, specializing in both first and third-party coverage matters. His coverage practice includes knowledge and experience relating to all types of insurance policies, their interpretation and numerous insurance related issues. Mike has rendered coverage advice and has been involved in coverage litigation in numerous areas including general liability claims, excess liability claims, construction defect, environmental, molestation, commercial auto, homeowners and intellectual property.
Hae Won Ko specializes in complicated coverage issues, as well as civil litigation of third-party insurance defense matters. She handles a complete range of insurance coverage matters arising out of personal, commercial, and specialty lines and has also litigated in the areas of co-carriers’ coverage contribution actions.
Hans Ruschke is a civil litigator who represents businesses and corporations in catastrophic injury and property damage litigation. Hans has extensive experience representing general contractors and construction-related businesses in all types of litigation. Additionally, Hans has experience representing businesses in product liability matters. He has successfully defended major insurance companies and corporate clients in both state and federal court. Hans grew up in Munich, Germany, and speaks fluent German.
Allyson Oishi received her B.A. from the University of California, Los Angeles, with a major in English and a minor in Asian American Studies. She received her J.D. from Chapman University Fowler School of Law with an emphasis in International Law. Allyson has interned as a law clerk with GP3 (Global Public Private Partnerships) and as a policy analyst at the Center for Law and Military Policy. She also volunteered with the Bette and Wylie Aitken Family Protection Clinic in Immigration and served as a small claims mediator at the Superior Court of California, Oran…
Patrick Naughton specializes in civil litigation and third-party insurance defense. He also has litigated numerous claims involving dental and medical malpractice, professional liability and premise and security guard liability, as well as transportation and mold related cases. Besides having representing cities, counties, schools and water districts, his experience has included litigation of bad faith actions, catastrophic injury cases, high profile damage issues and fraud cases. He has been retained to represent questionable insurance claims as well.
